Here is a mock book cover for Arthur Conan Doyle’s journal from his time on a whaling ship. There is the original file that I worked on and the other including the type treatment.  Im not sure which I prefer.  The ice, unexpectedly, is my favorite part.

I saw an illustration based off an article about how young people are spending too much or all of their money on wrist watches and I thought it sounded funny enough to warrant a look up.  The biggest struggle was trying to come up with something interesting and ironic that a hipster would write about this situation, but I guess I’m not a hipster.  I’m fairly certain this wont work because I don’t have a big following, but if someone were to come up with a better line and I end up using it I could send them a print.

Horse Racing

Here’s a personal project that has to do with horse racing.  I spent the summer experimenting and trying come up with ways to go about the final execution differently and this is what came out of it.  Graphite, acrylic and digital coloring

Four Horsemen

This illustration accompanies a Tor story about the four horsemen of the apocalypse wandering the world after they had destroyed it.  We find them at their next adventure, planting a tree.  Its a weird one.  This drawing may show up again if I can figure out better colors.

This is a book cover for the novel “Feed”.  Its a futuristic story about corporate takeover, everything from schools to clouds are run and manufactured by big business and people basically have facebook chips in their brains.  This project gave me fits.
